Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great summer... one that involved plenty of sunscreen! This is going to be my first post since last school year so I wanted to make sure this one reaches all of yalls' hearts!
Acne and other issues that affect our skin are very difficult to accept because they make us feel less than our best. For myself personally I know that if I am breaking out I stress so much about those specific spots and wait for the day I wake up and my skin is clear again. But I am here to tell you all that it truly does not matter! Nobody is judging you for that one pimple, acne scar, spot of eczema, or dry skin patch. NOBODY IS JUDGING YOU! You are your self's biggest critique and notice the smallest details that no one else pays attention to. I know how hard it is to just let go of worries about your appearance, because it is something I also struggle with, but it is so freeing when you can finally see yourself for more than your external appearance.
Being confident in your inner abilities is so much more important than always having perfectly clear skin. Next time you find yourself stressed over dry skin or breakouts, instead of focusing only on what you perceive as a negative, try to think of something about yourself that you love, such as your friendliness or creativity. I promise it will make a world of change in the way you feel about yourself and even in the way you present yourself to others.
No matter what age we are, if we are 16, 45, or 80, we will always find something we want to change about ourselves. But we will never be able to change that something!!! Each day is a new day to improve upon yourself and build self confidence... so why not start today!
