Hey guys! In this article I am going to explain (in simple terms) the formation of a pimple.
On your face, there are millions of tiny holes known as pores. Because your hair follicles sit inside of these pores, they are essential for hair growth. Although it may be hard to tell with your bare eyes, your face is covered in small hair follicles, and therefore pores too. Sometimes, these pores become clogged from excess oil (sebum) produced by the sebaceous gland. When this happens, a pimple is formed, often resulting in a raised, irritated bump.
